Junior Church

Junior Church is open to all children aged 3 to 16. We are always ready to welcome new members and if your child is young, parents are welcome to stay with them. We meet at 9.15am in the Parish Centre, where we enjoy breakfast together and lots of chat, before having the Bible story and activities.
At 10.15am we go into church to join the congregation for Communion or a blessing, before sharing what we have been doing with everyone.
Alongside the congregation, Junior Church members sponsor a young girl called Nuru. She lives in Songambele Village, Tanzania. We write to each other regularly and it's great when we hear from her.
On the first Sunday of each month, instead of Junior Church, we meet in St. Peter's Church for the All-Age service, beginning at 9.30am. This is a less formal service than usual, with the talk geared towards children and young people. Members of Junior Church are encouraged to have an active role in the service, if they would like.
We are open in term-time and some school holidays, if you are uncertain, please contact us.
We look forward to seeing you.
The Junior Church Team

Tiddlywinks is a group that meet in the Parish Centre on Mondays from 9.30am to 11.30am during the school term. It is open for Mothers, Fathers, carers and those under school age. Come along for a chat and tea/coffee. We play games, sing, have story time and prayer time. We also make a mess making things. If you want to come along and help, great!

The Church Lads' & Church Girls' Brigade

We have a thriving company of the Church Lads' & Church Girls' Brigade. Up to 80 young people between 5 and 18 meet in the Parish Centre every week on a Wednesday and Friday evening. Activities vary for the different age levels, but they all have the common theme of fun, learning new skills, facing new challenges, and self-development within the Church of England.

We have two very successful bands. We are always interested to hear from potential C.L.& C.G.B. members that would like to play an instrument. We also take part in local and national sporting events and band competitions.

Social games events, discos, etc. are arranged at the Local/Battalion/Regiment level. Going away to live in a hut, sometimes tents, is very popular.
